The Musician

The Musician

Meet Sean Tobin, the next musician you'll be raving about. Born and raised at the Jersey shore, Sean was influenced by folk-song troubadours like Guy Clark, Merle Haggard, and Willie Nelson, as well as high-energy rockers like Bruce Springsteen, Bob Seger, and Tom Petty.

Sean is self-taught in the the New Jersey bar scene and during his time spent busking on the streets of Galway, Ireland.  It's no wonder he quickly gained a loyal following.

In 2017, Sean graduated college with a degree in writing.  Although he expected to become a novelist, his business as a musician soon began to overshadow his prose.  Uncertain of his future, Sean walked El Camino de Santiago, a 500-mile trail through Spain, with his guitar strapped to his back.

Sean returned to New Jersey in the fall of 2017 where he worked as a technical construction writer to fund his music. He released his first album, 'This Midnight,' in the summer of 2018, and in 2019 he played Frank Turner's Lost Evenings III Festival at the House of Blues in Boston. He left his 9-5 soon after.

In July of 2019, Sean released 'Dreams & Black Caffeine,’ a four-song EP recorded in Ocean, NJ with his band, The Boardwalk Fire. Sean and the guys later produced nearly a dozen singles, which led to the compilation album, ‘East Coast Artifacts.’

Their latest work, ‘St. Patrick’s Day Forever,’ was released on February 19, 2021 to great acclaim:

"It's breathtaking.  Bleedin' massive." - Jersey Beat

"...catchy, yet also manages to retain a punk sound, and we loved the traditional folk instrumentation..." - York Calling

"Lively, upbeat and catchy as hell." - London Celtic Punks

If you ask us, Sean embodies the Very American Dream.  His lyrics and vocals unite the room on a dance floor.  His charisma and kind heart are tangible at every show.  Sean is becoming the very inspiration he discovered in his own influencers.
